[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Welcome to the VF Virtual Support Meetings page. Each month the VF holds online support group Zoom meetings for people with vasculitis and their families led by a moderator and a VF staff person. These meetings provide a positive, supportive forum where participants can share their challenges, celebrate their achievements, and learn from others how to navigate this disease.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

A: Most of our support group meetings require registration. You can find out if the meeting you plan to attend requires registration, and find the registration link, on our Events page.
Q: What platform is used for these meetings?
A: We use Zoom Meetings platform. It is a free, easy, one-time download.
Q: Can I ask medical questions in these meetings?
A: We do not give medical advice in the meetings. Your healthcare provider is always your primary partner for all medical questions and decisions. We do share links to reliable online resources that can provide you and your healthcare provider with valuable information.
Q: How many people are usually in a meeting?
A: The meetings typically have between 12-15 participants. We want to keep them smaller so everyone has a chance to participate.
Q: What does it mean when there is a topic for the Virtual Patient Support Meetings?
A: Every other week during the first few minutes of the Wednesday meetings we present information about a specific topic that is important to people with vasculitis.
These topic meetings include a short presentation followed by time for discussion. The discussion during a topic meeting is not limited to the topic that was presented.
On open meeting weeks there is no presentation before the discussion period.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Patient Support Meetings Resources and Links” tab_id=”patient-support-meetings-resources-and-links”][vc_toggle title=”Food and Inflammation” style=”square” color=”sky”]Anti-Inflammatory Diet Resources[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Vasculitis and Oral Health” style=”square” color=”sky”]Vasculitis and Oral Health[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Physical and Occupational Therapy” style=”square” color=”sky”]Physical and Occupational Therapy[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Self-Compassion” style=”square” color=”sky”]Self-Compassion 12.21.22[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Navigating the Holidays” style=”square” color=”sky”]Navigating the Holidays[/vc_toggle][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row]
